Markets in Everything: Online Toy Rental

"The Netflix of Toys"

BOSTON (CBS) – "When you are a kid on Christmas morning, it’s all about volume. But when you are a parent, cruising the aisles of the toy-store in December, it’s about trying to balance a happy holiday with a reasonable budget. Paul Reinsmith of Boston has found a great way to have plenty of toys under the tree, and all year, without breaking the bank.

Paul and his wife Pam discovered what they call the ‘Netflix’ of toys. It’s called Toygaroo, a website that lets parents rent toys for a fraction of what they would cost to buy."

That is the smell of Melaleuca that Toygaroo uses.

Maybe this this toy will be clean for holiday gift loaning.

This concept seem like a good idea for high-end toys.

Probably not. If you are familiar with the habits of kids, you will know that their toys are what they use to store whatever cold, flu and other disease germs they plan to share later with their friends.

Many parents discourage this hoarding of sickness by wiping or spraying these toys.

Like any other common good, rental toys will doubtless get less personal attention than ones that are owned. If a terrorist wished to spread colds to every family with kids in America, this is how they would do it.

Morganovich perceives, quite correctly in my opinion, that those who know what's best for all of us, will find ways to regulate this new idea , rather than allowing sensible parents to decide for themselves that renting toys is a bad idea, thus allowing it to die at birth.
