Stats of the Day

1. The number of active Twitter members is now more than 100 million, almost double the number at the beginning of the year.

2.The number of Chinese billionaires had doubled in the last two years, from 130 in 2009 to 271 this year. China is now second only to the United States which boasts about 400 billionaires.  What would Mao say?  Let hundreds of Chinese billionaires blossom?

# twitr accts dble wow

Is not a bias towards character languages such as Chinese that twitter only allows only 140 characters per tweet? Each character is a word in Chinese, but only a letter in English and most other alaphbet languages.

I think the Twitter hype is nonsense. Does anybody here Tweet? Follow Tweets?

I learned something the other day about PR firms that, once sign you as a client, guarantee X number of Twitter followers based on the price you pay. Many of the Twitter followers aren't really people...it's like counting me as 4 people if I sign up with 4 different free Gmail accounts.

No to the blossoming question.

Then again, there is plenty of cash to be had in professional services that reduce the count and influence of them.
