Robert Shiller is a terrifici economist.
harvard also offers same. I found "justice" with Michael Sandel to be a good introductory overview of the major philosophers and the questions they raise. Knowing a bit more about, for instance, utilitarianism, I found that section to be a little lacking (he only focused on short-term, not long-term as it has been developed after Bentham), but his treatment of libertarianism was at least pretty fair.
hey; he was a lecturer at a major school, and didn't come across as a blatant statist, so that was pretty great.
