Get some Lady Thatcher!
"The problem with socialism is that you eventually
run out of other people’s money"...
Maggie Thatcher, ROCKS!!
...and 20 years later, it is more socialist and even less British. The only long-term success she managed to do is to give a good reason to do it - fighting their own in the name of killing off labor unions. What it proved is that they could disregard their own and have no consequence to pay for it.
She made a Faustian deal, and this is the price the region paid.
Britain was racked by strikes and socialism was ascendant. Lady Thatcher reversed the trend and bought time. If there has been backsliding it has not gotten close to the situation of the 70's. Her words remain true.

The problem is that she didn't get rid of it. She just made one particular group less powerful, but didn't change the direction.
She's not worth the title.
Lady Thatcher is wonderful. It's so great to see her deal with the whiners.

Well sethstorm once you get a grip on reality you'll realize you can't blame Lady Thatcher for the brazen STUPIDITY of others...
