Hmmm. Let me think. NO!
Would bet that if Milton Friedman was still with us he’d go out and buy a pick up truck first thing tomorrow morning.
On the Republican side should be placed: Stay mired in a decades long $1 billion a day war against ghosts. Bail out buddies playing games with our money for another $1 billion a day. Continue "Stimulating" your politically endowed friends with another $1 billion a day...
Of course, Obama and the Democrats are happy to keep those all going, they have friends, too.
Billion dollar war against ghosts? I suppose you believe Al Queda was just a fictional group made up by Bush, right? And if any party is mired in billion dollar, corrupt payoffs to political cronies it is the Democrats. Good grief, GO SCOTT BROWN, GO
"This is your time. Their time (Democrats) is done, it's over!"
We've beat 'em before, we'll do it again.
On the Republican side should be placed ... blah, blah, blah.
You've apparently taken a wrong turn, this is the ward you're looking for. Enjoy your lithium.
Not only are the Dems pointing fingers at each other, but Chris Matthews argued with Rachel Maddow about whether the "reform" would actually be deficit neutral.
Chris Matthews actually said no one believes a government program will hit the budget forecast. That may be a bigger miracle than what just happened in Massachusetts.
Howard Dean in the next interview said the Senate bill has very little reform in it anyway.
These folks are kinda funny when the go off script. The truth comes out.
The funny part of this to me is that Scott Brown won partially because he is a very handsome man. Americans are so superficial that they choose attractive candidates to be leaders. The truth is our president and congress will continue to make things worse for at least another year. Gridlock is what we need to stop the socialists in power.
Look at UNH (United Healthgroup’s) stock’s performance last week. I hopped on the ride on Thursday and I am definitely seeing it as a long term hold now that healthcare reform is dead.
I want to say on behalf of all the shareholders, a big thank you to the voters of Massachusetts and conservatives around the country in general. Thank you for continuing to let us rip you off. We look forward to NOT serving you in these coming years. My advice to you is please don’t get sick, because we definitely will NOT be there for you. Goodbye and don’t call us.
Well Machiavelli, those of us who are actually useful to the economy, have saved money for misfortune, live within our means, and have our priorities straight PAY FOR OUR OWN DAMNED HEALTH CARE.
Human beings are animals. The rules of life are no different for us. If you don't work hard to survive, you DIE early. I haven't been without health insurance a day in my adult life. By no means am I rich and I have not always been employed. I thumbed through the Yellow Pages to Insurance, Health; found an insurance company, and sent them premium checks every month.
We are survivors. You leftists are self-hating, self-destructive, misanthropic lunatics on suicide watch. You've completely lost your survival instinct.
Michael Moore,
You don't have to post under Machiavelli999, be a man, throw off your rock and come out into the light.
Well, well, well, what's this? Everyone's darling, China, has decided to pull the 2D version of Avatar from its theaters (3D and Imax are still showing). (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/01/19/china-pulls-2d-avatar-fro_n_428798.html) Of course there's always the issue of censorship, but evidently some think it may because China's a little protective of its film industry, and doesn't want too much competition during its upcoming holiday season. Gee, isn't that stifling the freedom of the market place an unpardonable sin?
This brings me to the most recent nutcase, Jim Chanos. Is he crazy to think China will face economic collapse? Probably - but I'll laugh if he's right. I can just envision all of the laizez faire blowhards chewing up the soundbites, spewing rhetoric that "China's demise is proof the government can't meddle in the marketplace" - even though most of them never had a problem when things were doing good!
Yeah, probably crazy. China's destined to rule the world and will take half our oil to boot - she's just too damn smart. But still, if it happens, I'll be one big pain in the ass to all of the laizez faire worshipers who, hypocritically, turned a blind eye to China's unpardonable sins, much like a church crowd overlooks (or forgets) a pastor's infidel deeds - straight or not.
Billy Mays from the dead.
Machiavelli999, As expected, UNH stock is down now that the democrats have lost their super-majority.
Corporations love government control, it is the only sure way to achieve profits.
