Dr. Perry,
Some consider it sacrilege to misspell Stevie Ray Vaughan! R.I.P. Stevie.
Thanks for the video. He’s good. But, nobody will ever hold a candle to Stevie!
Just for you and your audience, take a secret peek at that which is not yet available to the general public.
SBVOR
MP,
This gentleman sounds like he is in pain. To each his own...
Perfer jazz...how about
the Sachmo award winner and member of the Order of Canada, Peter Appleyard. Nice to see a guy in his 80s at work!
QT,
That’s why they call it “The Blues”.
Nobody escapes without some pain. Every aspect of human experience deserves to be expressed in art.
The video was made by the NPS, the Dutch PBS.
A lot of poeple would think the NPS should disappear from the face of the earth, since it only propagates socialized welfare from the government.
Be carefull what you wish for ;-)
sbvor: Mea culpa, I'm verry sorry about the spelling mistake, I have corrected it now, thanks for letting me know.... and thanks for the links...
Let me get back to my earlier 'drive by shooting' remark:
Why should the governement be taping and broadcasting this kind of entertainment?
Why should the government be subsidizing this kind of entertainment? (They subsidize the whole 3-day happening)
It is obvious that this guy can stand on his own two legs. No need for the government to give him money.
But then again: Propaganda always gets to you. It makes you feel good. That's always the case with propaganda. It is designed to make you feel good. It is the purpose of propaganda. And before you know it, you say: How can I have missed this guy?
(*) Don't want to be too negative about this, after all it is good music and a first class artist. How about if I told you he got 30.00 US$ from the government for this performance? Does that bother you?
Local guy. Joe's been playing here since he was around 9. Did an intro act for B.B. King before he was a teen.
Plays each year in the small theater at Turning Stone Casino, Verona, NY. Great show.
Smokin' Joe knows the blues, but you should also hear him rock on out.
Dr. Perry,
We’ll let that misspelling slide this time [grin!].
Lest anybody be confused, yours is my favorite blog in the entire universe!
Thanks for all you do.
