The New Web -- "Today, in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day, GTX Corp, a company that focuses on customizable, miniaturized GPS solutions, announced the FCC certification of its GPS Shoe and the delivery of the first 3,000 units to shoe partner Aetrex Worldwide, Inc. (see video above)."

I like this idea.
BTW, the creepy version. The FBI is contending that if you drive on a public street, they have the right to stick a GPS transponder on your car (presumably while you are in a restaurant etc) on that public street.
Of course, anyone is tracked by their cell phone already, if need be.
Interesting times.
I think we used to call those types of shoes, "parole apparel"...
Old Nike ad: "It's the shoes."
New Garmin ad: "It's the shoes."
Northstar now says they keep track of your car, even if you cancel the service. They also reserve the right to sell information.
a must have for the intrepid Iranian hiker in your life...
This marketing comes from the same mindset that gave us abandoned playgrounds, bottled water and universal bussing for children.
Go for it! After all, your worries are more important than spying on your children. After all, they're really not people.
I wonder how long it will be before these are required in all shoes?
It's for your own safety, of course.
