Actually Perrry's head should have a cotton plant bonnet--he is from cotton country.
Cotton farmers have received $35 billion in direct subsidies since 1995. Who knows how much more in indirect subsidies, such as subsidized power, water, roads, trains, airports, postal service, telephone service etc.
I have a feeling reporters someday will uncover large subsidies running into the Perry household.
What do I believe in? "Cotton subsidies and free enterprise!"
