LA Shipping Volume Shows Some Improvement

Updated: Seasonally Adjusted


Although still below levels from a year ago, shipping volume at the Port of Los Angeles has shown some recent improvements, with increases in four of the last five months (see chart above), and a 39% rebound in July's volume compared to the February low.

i don't think this has any significance.

my understanding is that this data is not seasonally adjusted. this is important, as you can see from the chart there is a seasonal pattern. there's *always* an increase in the first half of the year.

Funny, but the Port of Los Angeles considers this a catastrophe. Eat flowers, crap rainbows.
