The Little Clinic Also Offers $29 Physicals

It's not just Target that is offering $29 sports, school and camp physicals, competition is a wonderful thing and "The Little Clinic" is also offering $29 physicals at its retail clinics in nine states, mostly in Kroger and Publix grocery stores.

Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy, and Take Care Clinic at Walgreens both also do this for $30.

And all will be illegal when Obamacare is enacted.

They're in committee right now trying to ram it through again. Have you called your representative?

Sure, the prices will remain low until they are sued for missing something they should have caught. The catastrophic fine will stress their insurance limits (self-insured or otherwise) and they will either exit healthcare or raise prices.

When you think of the problem of health care costs, you shouldn't envision visits to the family physician to talk about a sore throat; you should think about coronary bypass operations, dialysis, and chemotherapy. A very different picture indeed!!

The idea is that if truly left to a free-market system, those procedures (coronary bypass operations, dialysis, and chemotherapy) would drastically reduce in price due to competition, as well. Unfortunately the AMA and the government would have a hissy fit over a retailer offering chemotherapy.
