Never sat in an emergency room for hours waiting on them to check your insurance documents have you?

Nope. But, I have waited my turn while they deal with two heart attacks and a GI bleed. It's called prioritization. You just weren't that important.
Or perhaps, you were just a victim of union staff that went on break.
That reminds me of a situation that seems to repeat itself. We were busting at the seams with illness. It was madness. We needed to get people out of rooms and off to other areas to make room for the new ones coming in. The transportation staff was overwhelmed. So, my friend in charge asked a tech to transport one to MRI and others to a medical floor. She replied that it wasn't her job and she didn't have to. No one went anywhere.
So, you have a lot more of that to look forward to with Government care. Best wishes. Enjoy the wait. Pack a lunch maybe? Government food sucks.
