CD Milestone: 3,000 Posts
CD Post #1 was made on September 20, 2006 (702 days ago), and this is CD Post #3,000. That works out to 4.3 CD posts per day, on average. Figure about one hour per post on average to find something interesting, create and write a post, often with graphs, charts, or tables, which requires finding and downloading data, etc., and that's 3,000 hours of bloggin'!

Thanks for all your time and effort, the blog has really been informative. I am still waiting to see a few posts about what the government is doing right, instead of just what they are doing wrong. Cheers.
Likewise, thank you for sharing your expertise.
Knowledge spillover, indeed.
Mark. You are one of my daily reads. While I do not always agree with you, I do always learn something valuable; and, keep coming back for more. Thank you for the time, effort, and insight you put into this valuable blog. JCarr
Congrats, Mark. I stop here daily and am never disappointed. Always great data and analysis. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for all your hard work Prof. Perry. I'm an Int'l Affairs student at GW University in DC, who unfortunately can't take as many econ classes as I would like. I started reading this blog at the beginning of summer, and haven't missed a post since. Thanks for helping me further my education!
I second all these laudatory opinions, Mark. Your knowledge, had work, remarkably illuminating diagrams and tables, and your informative commentary make this an outstanding economic blog . . . one of the half dozen best on the web in my view. Even then, with the exception of Econbrowser, no one quite matches your data-driven posts.
Let's hope you continue to get more rewards, as you did last year.

Dr. Perry,
All your work is deeply appreciated.
Keep it up!
Dr. P,
As a former student (grad and undergrad), I love the visibility that you are receiving from this forum as much as I enjoy its content. The work and time you put in certainly warrants the recognition. I am also honored to have been afforded the opportunity to work on the couple of small projects you allowed me to participate on. I look forward to the next 3,000 milestone.

Thanks for all you give to we anonymous readers. Although your site is way too logical for many, I love it!
Mark,
Keep up the great job. Love your blog. I wish I'd had you as my Econ prof in college, instead of who I had.
Your blog is one of my top ten favorites, and I've spread the word with some of my friends.
I wish to echo the sentiment of the others - your blog is wonderful. I appreciate the effort you put in to identify the statistics and insights that correlate with many of the links.
