Why Captain Capitalism Hates Blackberries

  • To keep track of you when you're not at work.

  • To give you more work when you're not at work.

  • To give you something that tries to be both a phone and a mini-laptop but accomplishes neither.

  • To piss you off when you have to type on those freaking little keypads.

  • To give you something to make you look important when in actuality you're just telling the world, "Hey, my company just pissed away $500 on this thing that frankly doesn't do much that my laptop and cell phone can't."

Amen, Captain. Reminds me of the 1960s Amphicar (pictured above), which wasn't a very good car, and wasn't a very good boat.

"Why Captain Generation Y and Entrepreneurs Love Blackberries"

To be able to answer email like you are at work, while actually on the beach
To know when work really needs you and when they don't
To give you something that is a phone, a GPS, and surfs the internet
2 giv u a ful keybord so u dnt hav2 read celfne lingo
To give you something that slips into your pocket and no one will ever know you have a blackberry because your humble and don't want to embarrass your friends because their phones are well, lacking
Amen Captain.

Reminds me of the Swiss army knife, which was and still is a great tool.

Written by someone who obviously doesn't have one. Once you go, you'll never go back.

Mark--have to disagree with you on this one. I use my Blackberry everyday, both for cellphone, email and checking something on the Internet.

No doubt these devices will get better over time, but they are more portable than a computer and have more features than a cell phone.

If I'm at the beach, I want to be at the beach, not on the end of an electronic leash. Yes, I know they have off buttons. I just don't know too many Blackberry owners who use those off buttons.

There's got to be a reason for that.

Dang that was a zinger. We haven't all spent a lot of time studying economics, but we are free to share our opinions about the subject. Don't let the haters get you down Mark.
