Professor Mark J. Perry's Blog for Economics and Finance

We have had many comparisons to the oil crisis of the 70s even invoking the S word, stagflation. Interestingly enough have been reading The President, the Pope and the Prime Minister. Curiously, many of the predictions of gloom & doom of the late 1970s seem to be having a resurgence. Not sure if this is a reflection of the last hurrah of the radicalized boomers. It is interesting to actually read the mindset of the left during this epoche. One can certainly see why Ronald Reagan was such a breath of fresh air.
