Obama Justice and Medical Marijuana

Glenn Greenwald writing in Salon.com:

"The same person who directed the DOJ to shield torturers and illegal government eavesdroppers from criminal investigation, and who voted to retroactively immunize the nation’s largest telecom giants when they got caught enabling criminal spying on Americans, and whose DOJ has failed to indict a single Wall Street executive in connection with the 2008 financial crisis or mortgage fraud scandal, suddenly discovers the imperatives of The Rule of Law when it comes to those, in accordance with state law, providing medical marijuana to sick people with a prescription."

  2. Strengthening national security, the systemic failure of the financial system, and a guy dispensing "medical marijuana," wearing a "High Times" t-shirt, are different cases.

  4. When we had George W. Bush as president he would never allow goverment eaves-dropping !!!

George Bush a republican would have pushed for more regulations and stiff penalties and jail time for Wall Street crooks !!!

And the republicans have been pushing hard to legalize marijuana.

Obama's regime is opposed to any regulation of the Wall Street crooks !!

  9. This is the same clown who proclaimed during a campaign interview that he "..inhaled. Many times. That was the point." To raucous laughter from the fawning youngsters in the crowd.

These inhalations were presumably not for medical reasons, but for pure enjoyment.

  10. There is no difference between the two parties. Both are anti-liberty and in favour of the welfare/warfare state. Why would there be any expectations that civil liberties would be respected?
