I enjoyed this. I think there is too much hysteria about global warming, and some positives to higher CO2s, for plant life.
But let's also remember that the CIA told John Kennedy he would be swamped by a growing USSR, and that many hysterical righties also claimed Islamics would crush American interests worldwide in coming years, in the after-9/11 craziness.
Instead the USSR collapsed, and Islam is a mess, consumed by Arab Spring.
We did spend $2 trillion to sort-of accomplish maybe something in Eatcrapistan. An Islamic opium colossus.
And the $2 trillion we dropped in Iraq also brought an Islamic state into power, where women and Christians have the same rights as camels.
There are hysterics and doomsayers on both sides of the aisle.
"Well, the U.S. has claimed to kill "the No. 2 man at Al Queda" about 11,213 times, so I guess we have killed a few terrorists"... Where did this happen? In pseudo benny world?
Trust Benny-the-one-note-idiot to make comments linking this to his anti-military stance.
Benny, you sound STUPID.
Get a clue.
Commenting once in a while on your pet subject isn't a bad thing. When EVERY POST tries to make it into a major issue REGARDLESS of the topicality of it, you sound like an IMBECILE.
You cannot get anyone to do anything but LAUGH at you and make fun... not because we aren't open to the idea but because you can't make the case for it, and NEVER choose the proper venue for even ATTEMPTING to do so.
So all you're doing is convincing EVERYONE that NOTHING you say is anything but a waste of time to read.
Yes, but speaking of the Earth and George Carlin... Carlin is a funny guy in that I often find him not as funny as he thought he was, but he did produce half a dozen classic skits that really investigated a problem, albeit without a solution. This was one.
Baseball versus Football was another, even though I am happy to be in a technical, rather than pastoral society, the fact is that baseball reflects much about us that is good and football much of our evil.
I believe that their must be a balance between the environmentalist and the industrialist when it comes to environmental matters. The problem is it tends towards extremes one way or the other. A perfect example of this was the british petroleum oil spill in the gulf those on the right trivialize this event like it's almost insignificant. Thats very sick. I do not think the ultra conservatives realize how bad a position that is to take on a matter such as this. The little people have the perception rightly or wrongly that the so called ultra conservatives are in the hands of big oil and big business.

The answer to the age old question "why are we here?" Plastic.
Awesome.
"...and that many hysterical righties also claimed Islamics would crush American interests worldwide in coming years, in the after-9/11 craziness."
Yes, I'm sure the fact that the US military killed mountains of terrorists has nothing to do with why we haven't been attacked on US soil since 9/11.
One of my favorite Carlin skits. They you for posting it, Dr. Perry
Well, the U.S. has claimed to kill "the No. 2 man at Al Queda" about 11,213 times, so I guess we have killed a few terrorists.
Now that Obama got bin Laden, we don't seem to kill the No. 2 man anymore.

Is this also happening in pseudo benny world?

Were you going for poetic or idiotic in that sentence? Because you accomplished one of those - guess which one.

Really.
Seriously benny, what's the point?

A very important "Earth Day" message: IF I WANTED AMERICA TO FAIL
