"Forecast the Facts" . Rather Orwellian considering the growing numbers of scientists - like the 16 noted scientists who recently wrote an open letter published in the WSJ - coming forward to "deny" the "scientific" arguments made for AGW.

I wish it was Rep. Allen West instead...

"Climate change activists have launched a campaign..."...

Yeah, these clowns just hate Anthony Watts for outting them being either knaves or fools..

Regarding Harold Hamm, note the following line from a CNBC article: The President couldn’t pass cap and tax so he is now using the EPA and the US Fish and Wildlife Agency to do the regulatory over-reach he couldn’t do. Obama is on a regulatory jihad against the American Oil industry...

I may even vote for Romney, in the hopes the John Taylors of the world will then militate for monetary stimulus.

But Romney does not even seem aware that having Cayman Island bank accounts does not pass the smell test for most Americans. I mean, P.U.

Then, there is the fact that Romney wants to extend the Eatcrapistan war indefinitely--not that any of his sons will serve there.

Questions About Romney’s Sons and Military Service
By MICHAEL LUO
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — It is a question that Mitt Romney has gotten before on the campaign trail. Sometimes it is asked innocently; sometimes with a clear edge.

A woman at an Ask Mitt Anything forum earlier today in Iowa raised the question again, asking whether any of Mr. Romney’s five sons are serving in the military, adding pointedly, “If none of them are, how do they plan to support this war on terrorism by enlisting in our U.S. military?”

Although his campaign said his remarks were taken out of context, Mr. Romney’s response is drawing criticism, because he said, in part, “one of the ways my sons are showing support for our nation is helping to get me elected.”

Oooo boy, Cayman Island bank accounts and five sons but not one of them fighting in wars Romney says are necessary.

In other words, the GOP credo: " I am a super-patriot (see the lapel flag) but not when it come to paying taxes or serving in wars. That's for someone else."

At least McCain had street cred. Romney is like McCain minus the guts.

An he may be the best choice in 2012. The bar is very low.

The more reason to kill most of the environmental regulations on cars, especially CAFE. Then have a tax cut for larger-displacement/cylinder cars to bring back the more offensive, yet American ones back.

Benji,

"I am a super-patriot (see the lapel flag) but not when it come to paying taxes or serving in wars. That's for someone else."

I forget, what branch of service did your boyfriend the Libyan regime changer serve in? I keep hearing about his "gutsy call" ordering the Navy SEAL's to take out bin Laden. My, how brave he was to say "yes" while sitting in his comfy chair thousands of miles away.

Douche.

Indeed, Obama never served a day, although Obama did get bin Laden where Bush Jr. abjectly lost interest and failed (or was too tight with the bin Laden family to give the kill orders).

But Obama has two young daughters who cannot be expected to serve in Eatcrapistan. Romney seems to have a platoon of sons who are as far from the front lines as they can get, while still waving flags an talking tough on defense.

Cayman Island bank accounts and no military service for the Romneys---not too surprising, as the GOP continues its descent into Sodom while hysterically preaching about family values.

Grifters on Parade (GOP)--and as I said, Romney might be the best choice of the two parties come 2012.

Or maybe vote for Ron Paul.

Montana oil production has declined since 2006. It fell from around 100,000 bpd to less than 70,000 bpd even though drilling activity was robust. All that hype about how great the Elm Coulee field was and how much it would add to production dried up as soon as reality intervened and the depletion took over.

3. Houston Chronicle - "The fight for hearts and minds when it comes to climate change has moved to a new battleground: your television set. Climate change activists have launched a campaign, dubbed Forecast the Facts, that outs television meteorologists who are "deniers" of mainstream climate change science."

I guess that the AGW activists were not pleased with the AMS survey findings. It is hard to sell global warming on TV when nearly two-thirds of believe that it was caused primarily by natural factors. This seems to be the American version of Lysenkoism.

5. Bloomberg profiles oil wildcatter Harold Hamm, the biggest winner in the biggest American oil find (Bakken region of western North Dakota) since Prudhoe Bay.

The SEC filings show a very high debt load and a very expensive stock. Why would anyone prefer Harold Hamm's company to a conventional producer or a tar sands player? It was not all that long ago how we were told that Aubrey McClendon was a genius who would become super rich on shale gas. After he lost nearly two billion of his wealth the hype machine has moved on to other geniuses who we should be paying attention to. I guess that we will have to wait until the market sees through the reality before we can move on to someone else.
