Happy 60th Birthday, Color TV: 1951 -2011

According to this website, this week marks the 60th birthday of color TV, although other sources report that color broadcasts actually started on June 25, 1951 on CBS.
In 1956, RCA prepared the video above titled "The Story of Color Television," with this commentary:

Don't feel bad. It didn't arrive at my house until about then, either. Dad refused to shell out for one of the things. Whenever we'd whine to him about it, he'd insist it wasn't perfected yet.
Mom, in one of her first blatant acts of wifely insubordination, just ordered one and had it delivered. I think Dad was secretly pleased.

the generation currently in its 30's will be the fist since TV was invented to watch less TV than their parents.
