Secretary Solis: Watch Where You Park Your Car
Just in case Secretary Solis decides to visit any more U.S. car and truck plants in the future and she happens to be driving her foreign-made Equinox, Ms. Solis better make sure not to visit any of the many local UAW offices near those plants. Because many of them have signs like those above in Michigan and the Secretary's foreign-made auto could be towed.

Do you forget there is a free trade agreement between our two countries. And perhaps lots of Canadians buy US make cars including our senior politicians.
Why didn't she just buy a Chevy Malibu?
Why didn't she just buy an American made Camry with higher American content than ether of them?
Do they also require that all their workers carry only American made cell phones, wear only American made and union produced work clothes and have only American grown food in their lunch pails?
The Labor Secretary can park her Equinox in any UAW lot in Flint. Vehicles made by Canadian UAW members will not be towed. "Foreign" will be defined by the leadership as non-union made.
I've checked about that towing policy and cannot find where any cars have ever been towed from UAW 659 over it. I think that sign is to intimidate our own members and/or send a symbolic message to the public. You cannot see the UAW 659 sign unless you are on private property or you have binoculars; however, I don't know about the other local's sign.

Because the defining characteristic of the ruling class, whether in the USSR or in the USSA, is extreme hypocrisy. They are unable to face themselves in the morning and perform their duties without massive amounts of it.

I've seen Toyotas and Hondas over the years in that lot, but I don't worry about that kind of stuff. I have more problems with a no-gun policy myself.
The sign needs to go, but it is private property. and the majority seem to want it there. I suppose people can be stupid in their own house if they want to.

I thought it was probably something like that. :) It's good to see our masters caught at such blatant hypocrisy on occasion.

We just told her. I'm sure she follows Carpe Diem. If she doesn't, she can call the union hall. I'm sure she either has the number or that she or her staff can find it.

Yeah, that's why I bought a Toyota Camry instead of that foreign made Ford Fusion or Chevy Impala.
Just as soon as thoseunion guys make a quality car for the same price as the imports, I will get in line. I have been waiting about 30 years now...
