Dr. Mark J. Perry is a professor of economics and finance in the School of Management at the Flint campus of the University of Michigan. Perry holds two graduate degrees in economics (M.A. and Ph.D.) from George Mason University near Washington, D.C. In addition, he holds an MBA degree in finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In addition to a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan-Flint, Perry is also a visiting scholar at The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.

As I have said many times, they have push-cart food vendors in Thailand, and the food is terrific.
Legalize push-carts nationwide!
I would not like a food truck in front of my home or in front of my business location.
My understanding is that I actually own the land out to the center of the street and that the public use of it is an easement.
How broad is that easement?
Can someone park a large trailer and live in it for a few weeks?
Can anyone sell anything on the sidewalk?
We do not live in a society where anything goes. Who really wants that?
When the Islamic cartoon issue broke; I believe it was Atlantic magazine that published the offensive Danish cartoons, Borders was the only major book chain to announce that it would not carry that issue of the magazine. I began to boycott them, and have ever since; good riddance to free press cowards.

For heaven's sake, we need more of these food trucks. The number of people filing for unemployment benefits has "unexpectedly risen" yet again. Food trucks will fight this depression just as well as apple carts did in the 1930s.
