The ability to take exams at home, via ProctorU, seems like a good concept -- since so many Univeristy of Washington freshman are ill prepared to enter the lecture hall (expecially in math).
I needed a segue above to inform about Rain Forest math being attacked yesterday by King County Superior Court judge. The judge ruled that Seattle School's Discovering Math curriculum "abitrary and capricious".
The court fight was successfully led by U of W professor Cliff Mass of Carpe Diem notoriety.
and for $20, i'll show you how to use your home network to cheat on this at will.

Ah, ok.
As long as they don't change that up and turn it into "Online Proctology Exam".
That would be going just a bit too far. :oD
There are a small number of institutions where taking exams at home is common, ones with an honor code, such as CalTech. The code says no member of the community shall take advantage of another member of the community. This is a great environment to study in but does take the right class of people to work. (I believe West Point and the other Military Academies have similar codes) Why most people feel cheating is the way to go is less than clear, but the concept of everyman for himself, who cares about the community is a start.
And while you watch me (or someone else) there will be someone looking up the answers off-camera.
An interesting MIE is online term papers for students. Another one is a tool for teachers to catch someone using an online term paper.
