"Man-Cession" Worsens; Male (10%) - Female (7.6%) Jobless Rate Gap of 2.4% is Highest in History
According to today's BLS report (Table A-1, Household Data), the April unemployment rate for men was 10% vs. 7.6% for women, and the 2.4% male-female jobless rate gap is at an all-time historical high, exceeding the previous record difference of 2% in March 2009. In contrast, just a little more than one year ago in March 2008 the male-female jobless rate gap was only 0.20% (5.2% for males vs. 5% for females), and for most of 2006 and 2007 there was either no gap or a relatively small gap (in some months in 2006 the gap was in favor of men).For men, the jobless rate jumped from 9.5% in March to 10.0% in April, compared to an increase for women from 7.5% to 7.6% from March to April. Therefore, almost all of the 0.40% overall increase in the April unemployment rate to 8.9% from 8.5% in March was due to an increase in male unemployment.

No surprise here, even taking into consideration that healthcare and education careers are female-dominated. I think a deeper issue here is that for a generation we have put emphasis on feminism and that society must propel women to the forefront. I am a woman and I have 1 daughter and 1 son and feel the pendulum needs to swung back towards encouraging males in our society. Why not have the interests of ALL children, male and female when it comes to our educational system, and society in general? I feel the heterosexual male has been degraded far too long.
Obviously, the reason females are being retained is that they only make 78 percent of what males make.
What Hershblogger may have been true at one time, but iirc that should change since Obama signed the Lilly Leadbetter fair pay act.
This seems to be bad news for guys, but I personally know several who are "laid-off and loving it" collecting unemployment while their wives are still working at their jobs. It's almost amusing to see the wives get irritated that their husbands can't find work while knowing full well their family could do just fine on their salary alone. Very few guys get permission to be a stay-at-home dad, but these guys at least get a taste of that.

Well I'm thinking that anyone that had a part of the following: The last three decades have witnessed the rise of a political gender gap in the United States wherein more women than men favor the Democratic party. We trace this development to the decline in marriage, which we posit has made men richer and women poorer will definitely NOT see compensation moderation as venue to continued job security...
As briefly as I can state the following, I do as such state:
In a modern day way of looking at it, women are the U.S.'s cheap Pacific Basin worker. Internal the this country, women are holding wages down, and will with the new law, give companies the legal wherefore all to continue wage recession, claiming the law abiding necessity for men to have wage parity with women. Women are memes and mostly cowardly, rather willing to cry and whine and whimper than to stand up and fight like a man. They are woosies. Women are also the reason that jobs have been made so simple and easy. It is not that it is better or cheaper to do the easy way, it is that labor costs are easier when the workers are women. Women also fall for the stupidest stuff... like religion. One of the greatest religions being themselves. The majority of women have egos many times larger than males. It is so easy to stroke those female egos to get the needed response from a women. Just tell them that they are intelligent, even though they are dumber than a rock, and they will believe you. Tell them that spending money on things that they do not really need is saving money when given the option of saving 30% on a purchase in comparison to not spending money at all, and they will more often than not save the 30% while spending the money on something that they really do not need. But, of course, a women can rationalize anything that they do so as not feel bad... Denial is such a beautiful (and needed) thing to a women. Then there is the control factor... The fact that women fear the loss of anything and everything. Since in a woman's mindset all things should be there's, so they are always worried even though they have not chance of ever getting all that they think that they should have... Like that imaginary thing called heaven and peace on earth and the grace of some imaginary god thing. Yes, women are more controllable than the black slaves were. Women are the perfect humanoid slave, so very submissive and cowardly. Hence, the are the real ruin of the United States of America that should have and could have been for all.
