'morning. The cartoons on CM are frequently hard-hitting and concise, suitable for retention (or at least use as desktop wallpaper!). But they're frequently a bit too small to read; when the reader follows the link to the original ("miker.gif" in this case), is that the actual original size, or is a larger one available? Thanks,
Oops, sorry, meant "CD", not "CM".
Anonymous: I added the link to IBD.
Not a good depiction here. A better analogy would be to state-sponsored terrorism. Imagine the "pirates" in something like a WWII-era heavy cruiser (because government systems are always hopelessly behind the times) but next to the 8 inch guns they've cobbled a Harpoon missile launcher armed with nuclear-tipped missiles:
"Submit or be incinerated."
Oh, and these pirates want the good ship capitalism to tow them wherever they want to go, even if it goes bankrupt by constantly being diverted from its real work.
Has Barak Obama apologized to the world for the U.S. Free Market? Certainly not until he has worked out the financing for his social programs with the banker, China. Then the wealth re-distribution financing scheme will have to be paid back to his banker with high interest rates. The apology follows soon after .
i like the picture.
but, i would title the ship 'SS Taxpayer' and the pirate boat 'Wall Street"
"but, i would title the ship 'SS Taxpayer' and the pirate boat 'Wall Street""...
Why of course YOU would bobble since you don't want to pay attention to what caused the problems in the first place...

hi juandos. please show where CRA/Fannie/Freddie required the nation's largest banks to leverage 30+ to 1 on ninja loans and AIG to write over a $trillion in CDS.
"please show where CRA/Fannie/Freddie required the nation's largest banks to leverage 30+ to 1 on ninja loans and AIG to write over a $trillion in CDS."
Please show where that was the cause of the collapse.
