Democrats are in the pocket of the education union, aka NEA, and will never vote for this program regardless of merit. They prefer ever increasing amounts of taxpayer funds be poured into the black hole of government schools.

An irony here is 90% of D.C. voters vote democrat. Therefore, a logical deduction is the vast majority do not consider a good education for their children very important.

That says it all. The Democrates only care about their own kids. They send their kids to private schools while sending your kids to government "public" schools. When will people wake up and say enough is enough?

Andrew J. Coulson of Cato estimates that the total costs of public schools in DC is more than $28,000.

The article linked claims just $14,000.

Oh my god!

You are advocating emulating the Swedes?

Do you know how high their taxes are?
