So Jimmy Carter deregulated beer and air travel. He is moving up rapidly in my ratings.

It makes total sense that lame, mass-produced beer (which still dominates the US beer market) resulted from government mandate. But that freedom from it came from Jimmy Carter? That's the shocker.

The masses still choose junk, but the rest of us surely do have choice now.
