"It's shocking that men will pay so much for someone's virginity, which isn't even prized so highly anymore."

Maybe the men don't realize that virginity is not transferable. :)

Isn't an auction of virginity an illegal contract for prostitution?

It appears that her auction will take place at a legalized brothel in Nevada, so no obvious legal issues.

All the luck to her - consenting adult, closed doors, etc., etc.

On the other hand, given that doctors are not incorruptible, and virginity is not that hard to fake medically, I cannot help but hope (for the broader educational value to men) she turns out to be a the smartest "career girl" of our times (Julia Roberts was a fictional one).

Snippet about her from a different article: "Still, Natalie says the winner won’t necessarily be the highest bidder. “I want someone with chemistry. We’ll take bids until I find a suitor I’m happy with.” - now that is one smart sales pitch.

Video of "Natalie" - I must admit that I do not find her all that attractive.
