Why Do You Think It's Called "Pork"?

Every half a decade or so, Congress considers what to do with a massive system of federal handouts that enriches a narrow band of American businessmen. Too often, after a fair amount of acrimony and spectacular displays of local-interest, pork-barrel politics, the system is altered -- sometimes for the good, sometimes not -- but not reformed as dramatically as it ought to be. The issue, of course, is American farm subsidies, an inefficient, trade-distorting program of price and income support included in the expiring farm bill; a new one is being prepared.

From today's Washington Post staff editorial.

Yes indeed, yet another bit of whining drivel from the Washed Out Compost not posing the real question, "what is the federal government meddaling in the farming industry for in the first place?"

I'm willing to be that the socialist libtards over at the Washed Out Compost don't even have a clue about the Constitution and what the federal government's role is in it...

How does an outfit like the Washed Out Compost stay in business when they have such an incredible track record of misleading and outrightlying to their customers?
