Using the same theory behind the war of Gun to come. Drugs are made outside of prison and smuggled in. Their theory is that if the world was a prison they would not be made not realising that prison does not have masses of place inside to hide the equipment. I understand guns and booze are still made in prison which should make them think but these people don't have the equipment for that.
The good doctor says: "yet there are those who want to turn this country into a prison in an attempt to eliminate drugs"...Good point but (and there's always a, 'but') what's your alternative to what really is a problem, drug use, excessive drug use?Have you Dr. Perry ever been in an environment where everyone has access and use to a variety of drugs? Where personal behavior has no discipline?Its an ugly thing but then again I'm no better off than you with regards to offering a palatable alternative...

Dr. Mark J. Perry is a professor of economics and finance in the School of Management at the Flint campus of the University of Michigan.
Perry holds two graduate degrees in economics (M.A. and Ph.D.) from George Mason University near Washington, D.C. In addition, he holds an MBA degree in finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In addition to a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan-Flint, Perry is also a visiting scholar at The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.
