  1. Guess the speculators learned nothing from the Duke lacrosse experience...

  2. A serious question: If Kahn is innocent, why does he not get his IMF job back?

Only his career and reputation have been destroyed. His marriage evidently survived.

Well, one out of three ain't bad.

  3. Totally off topic… a contrary view on the legalization of drugs issue.

Article entitled: “Do We Really Want a 'Needle Park' on American Soil? Prevention, not legalization, is the key to winning the war on drugs”

  4. Benjamin,

Even if the charges are dropped, many will still see it as the triumph of money and lawyers over the truth.

  5. DL-

Unfortunately, our system rewards and sometimes justifies such sentiments.

I don' think some people appreciate how utterly corrosive to social fabric it is when the wealthy "purchase more justice" than the Average Joe.

  6. I don't think it has anything to do with a triumph of lawyers and money over truth. The prosecutors submitted the evidence in court today that she lied during the investigation and has previously lied about being gang raped.

  8. The NY Post is reporting that the DA removed two of his most experienced people when they expressed skepticism almost immediately after hearing the account. Then the DA puts her up in a hotel where she continued to hook. No that doesn't exonerate DSK but nobody would put this victim on the witness stand and his lawyers seem to have little to do with it.

He is running for President in France and can thank the NY DA Office for giving him a big boost.
