100 Things to Watch in 2011

From global advertising agency JWT, comes its list of "100 Things to Watch in 2011," including Africa's growing middle class, bamboo (as a building material, clothing, etc.), the rise of beer sommeliers and the rise of the city of Detroit, the decline of the cash register, digital etiquette and digital interventions, etc.

The rise of Detroit is, at this point, greatly premature. If it were up to Southeastern Michigan residents, the proposals would be a done deal. Unfortunately, a very distrusting and divisive Detroit populace stands in the way of change.

Bet on no rise.

As I've told people: "There's nothing wrong with Detroit that a meteor strike couldn't fix."

Hmmm, I tend to think of these types of articles as a bit silly but entertaining and definitely worth the read...

Thanks for posting the link...

BTW was there a similer posting in 2009 and were those guesses for 2010 checked out their accuracy or lack there of?

Well it looks like JWT's '100 Things to Watch in 2010' hits the 50+ percent mark...
