Mark, that was a phenomenal representation of our university and an excellent analysis in front of congress yesterday! Thanks. We need people to know that Flint, Michigan has people who can think their way out of problems.

I wish more people would pay attention to the message implicit in your last sentence. A lot of people need to wake up and realize that they need to adjust to fit the job market and the job market is not going to adjust to their wishes and hopes. No amount of "fair trade" or scapegoating the "Japs" will change us back to the 20th century manufacturing model. Those who will win in the 21st century will have to work smarter and obtain unique and transferable skill sets that other people are willing to pay them for. The days of bolting fenders on Chevys for $30-an-hour are long gone.
