not seen since may 2009?

isn't that a bit like saying US employment surged in 1933 to levels not seen since 1931?

may 2009 was a pretty crummy time. aren't you really sort of saying "and a year on, no real progress in hiring has been made?"

A recession is very much like a shark attack. People panic and scramble out of the water when it occurs, but when waters are calm, a few dare to dip their feet and eventually, everyone will be back in the water.

I agree 2009 was a horrible year for employment, but this has always been a lagging indicator especially during the intial phases of a recovery. I take this as a positive sign and look to better years ahead.

maybe its time for a swim!
