Dr. Mark J. Perry is a professor of economics and finance in the School of Management at the Flint campus of the University of Michigan. Perry holds two graduate degrees in economics (M.A. and Ph.D.) from George Mason University near Washington, D.C. In addition, he holds an MBA degree in finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In addition to a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan-Flint, Perry is also a visiting scholar at The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.

I think it should be "The First Economists". One Keynesian, one Hayekian.

Looks more like the first astrophysicists to me. Oh... wait... that can't be right since they actually attempted to do something.

Just a thought....
The real irony is that science actually does work that way. Rocket science isn't a cliche because early rockets went where they were supposed to go, after all.
If the someone didn't do the equivalent of say, "Those idiots had the force and angle wrong, but the concept is good", practically *nothing* we think of as modern technology would work. Damn barbarians and Philistines.
